Summer fading, hints of Autumn
Growing up in the Northeast, I have become attuned to the changes of season. I believe that changes in season are healthy; just as changes in relationships, mood, age and health are inevitable...so are the seasons.
The end of summer is a period of transition. A transition toward a more structured schedule, cooler days, and cozy nights. As a fan of soccer and football, I enjoy the sports of this season - and the increased energy that sometimes comes with the cooler temperatures outside. Autumn also brings reconnection, as the wanderings and escapes of the summer end, returning you to friendships and colleagues. Stress can increase during this transition, as well as anxiety and depression; as daylight shortens and the weather becomes cooler. Take care of yourself, in whatever way works. Play, dance, sing, sit still. If you need to talk, please contact me.
All the warmth of the season to you.
I specialize in working with adults struggling with stress & anxiety, and adolescents who are struggling with family and/or social dynamics. I am especially helpful with grief & loss, and improving motivation. I help to process past wounds, and work with individuals as they make decisions to alter their life course. I believe in you and your ability to grow. Please email or call with any questions or to set up an initial appointment.
